EL CAMINO STATION
El Camino Station is a human-centered public transit station designed to serve the vibrant and diverse community of East Los Angeles. Inspired by the area’s deep cultural roots and its ongoing journey of growth and progress, this project re-imagines the transit experience as more than just a means of transportation - it becomes a reflection of the community’s history, identity, and future.
This design prioritizes safety, comfort, and user experience, addressing the lack of amenities and thoughtful spaces in current LA Metro stations. By weaving together elements of East LA’s rich heritage with modern functionality, the station tells a story through its interior design - where each section represents a “chapter” in the community’s evolving narrative.
Through intuitive design, inviting spaces, and a focus on human connection, El Camino Station, creates a transit environment where people feel seen, supported, and inspired. This process book captures the creative journey behind the project, from research and concept development to design execution and vision.

EL CAMINO STATION PROCESS BOOK
If interested, below you can flip through the process book I created over the course of twenty weeks. I created the book to demonstrate every stage of my design process for El Camino Station and ended the book with a proposed design solution: a human-centered public transit station for LA Metro.
